Grollo Community

Community involvement is a driving philosophy of the Grollo Group and Rino and Diana Grollo and their family have always contributed generously to community organisations, initiatives and events.

In 1987 Rino and Diana established the Grollo Ruzzene Foundation to direct their family's charitable contributions to a wide range of causes and organisations, including the Royal Children's Hospital, Assisi Homes for the Aged, and the Open Family of Homeless Kids, The Victorian Arts Centre, the Australian Opera Foundation, Melbourne Museum and Melbourne Zoo.

Through strong relationships with schools and universities, the Foundation funds research and provides scholarships. The Grollo Group supports local secondary education at Parade College Bundoora, Ivanhoe Grammar and Santa Maria School in Northcote. The Foundation also supports multicultural programs and encourages Italian cultural links through sponsorship of cultural activities and exhibitions, scholarships universities in Italy and support Italian clubs and societies and the Catholic Church.

In 1999 Rino and Diana also established the Italian Australian Institute (IAI) a non-political, non-profit national organisation that promotes Italian heritage and culture in Australia, supports research and highlights the contributions of Italians to Australia's multicultural society.
